In the AI course, you will learn essential skills such as managing students safely in confined water or pool environments, preparing and delivering theory presentations, and gaining a deeper understanding of the SSI system and standards for course implementation.

 

As an Assistant Instructor, you are qualified to independently teach Try Scuba, Scuba Skills Updates, and Perfect Buoyancy courses. Additionally, you can assist an Instructor with entry-level courses, demonstrating and evaluating in specific areas.

The ITC builds upon the knowledge and skills you acquired during the AI course. The practical training focuses on teaching in open water, conducting emergency ascents, performing exercises, and delivering theory lessons from the "Diver Stress and Rescue," "Enriched Air Nitrox," and "Dive Guide" courses.

Your proficiency in using the digital SSI systems will be enhanced, showcasing their benefits for your future teaching activities.

During the Instructor Evaluation, you will demonstrate your skills and knowledge in various areas to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. Over the course of two days, you will complete a theoretical exam, in-water evaluations, and academic presentations to showcase your abilities to the Instructor Certifier.

 

Upon successfully passing the IE, you will gain the authority to teach and certify courses beyond those of an Assistant Instructor, including entry-level courses, Diver Stress and Rescue, Dive Guide, and Advanced Adventurer.

 

Additionally, right after your certification as an SSI Open Water Instructor, you can enroll in a Specialty Instructor Seminar to qualify as a Specialty Instructor, paving the way for your career advancement to Advanced Open Water Instructor.
